The "Wheels and Waves" Foundation

The "Wheels and Waves" Foundation is proud to support the following organizations with the proceeds from our Show:

• The Page Youth Center – The Page Center is a local non-profit organization that promotes, supervises, develops, and supports activities that benefit youth and seniors through the medium of sporting and recreational activities. The Center, located at 4540 Hollister Avenue, is a 23,000 square foot gymnasium facility that houses a fitness center, a full fledged kitchen, a number of meeting rooms and a gymnasium that accommodates two full size basketball courts.
  
  
• The Santa Barbara Downtown Organization Christmas Parade - This parade, held annually in December, is a celebration of the holiday spirit in downtown Santa Barbara. The parade features our local high school bands, displays by our local fire and police agencies, and offers many special opportunities for the children of our community to participate in the event.
  
  
• The Progeria Research Foundation – A genetic disease related to aging, progeria currently has no known cure. Children affected by this disease have very short lifetimes. Today, the Research Foundation has identified the gene associated with Progeria. They have formed a partnership with the National Institute of Health to conduct clinical studies to find a cure for this rare and fatal disease.
  
  
• The Goleta Lions Service Club – The Goleta Lions annually donate over $30,000 to local charities and non-profits. With an emphasis on youth and sight and hearing, the Club donates money and labor to a variety of endeavors. These include the local high schools, the Braille Institute, City of Hope, the Goleta Railroad Museum, Hillside House, Girls, Inc., and over 30 other charitable organizations.
  
  
• The Casa Esperanza Homeless Center – The mission of Casa Esperanza is to help homeless individuals and families in the Santa Barbara area achieve their maximum level of self-sufficiency, and to help those enduring homelessness to access the services they need to transition into stable housing.
